９月１１日 総理大臣への嘆願書／9.11 Petition to Japanese Prime minister | No Nukes Action Committee, SF

Petition (in Japanese below) -

Abe Shinzou Japanese Prime Minister,

You must be delighted and very happy, after it was decided that Tokyo will be the host of the 2020 Olympics. Some media reported you are happier than being elected. But we, the residents of San Francisco and the Bay Area, were stunned to hear the news of Tokyo Olympics because we know that the catastrophe of the Fukushima nuclear plant is not contained at all and children and victims are still being exposed to radiation.

You said “Let me assure you that the situation is under control” in the presentation at Buenos Aires, and also said “The bottom line is that there is absolutely no problem, the leaking water was completely blocked, there are no problems of health in the past, present and never will be in the future, I promise it!”

But the situation is not controlled. The contaminated water is leaking into the ground water and over 300 tons of contaminated water from the tanks are leaking into the ocean every day as TEPCO has admitted. $500 billion in tax money will be spent to construct an ice wall, but it has not yet been built and we do not know if it will work.

The number of children in Fukushima with thyroid cancer continues to increase. Six more in June for a total of 18 children. Forty-three children either have cancer or are suspected of having cancer. Are you just watching and doing nothing? Saving the health and lives of children is much more important than the Olympics. By the way a citizens group concerned with radiation safety has found many hot spots at the fields and stadiums around Tokyo, some as high as 0.23 uzSv/hr. which would require decontamination.

South Korea prohibited the importation of seafood from Fukushima and other 7 Prefectures few days ago. On the West Coast, there is a petition asking five Senators to thoroughly investigate the damages and effects of the radiation from Fukushima. Even the New York Times had a front page article about today’s crisis in Fukushima.

You promised many thing in Buenos Aires, but please promise these things: never re-start any nuclear plants in Japan, stop the construction of new plants, and never export any nuclear plants.

People in the world are watching how you handle this crisis. Please use all available expertise and find the best solutions. Please protect the children’s lives, and evacuate them. Please compensate the victims fully. Please do not forget about Fukushima over the joy of Olympics.

You must be serious and sincere, otherwise everything will be out of control.

嘆願書

日本国内閣総理大臣安倍晋三殿

首相は２０２０年のオリンピックが東京に決まり、さぞ歓喜なさっていることでしょう。報道によれば，選挙の当選の時より

嬉しかったとありました。でも，サンフランシスコベイエイリアに住むわたしたちは、東京オリンピック決定のニュースを呆然と

受け止めたのです。それは福島第一事故が収束のめどもついておらず、子供達，被害者が未だ被曝を続けている事実が 断固としてあるからです。

首相はブエノスアイリスのプリゼンテイションでは，福島第一原発について「状況はコントロールされております」と

おっしゃり，質疑応答では福島は「全く問題ない，汚染水は完全にブロックされている」、「健康問題については、今までも， 現在も，そして将来も全く問題はない、ということをお約束致します」と答えておられます。

しかし状況はコントロールされているどころか，汚染水は地下水に漏水し，タンクから３００トン以上の冷却処理水が漏出し， 海洋への漏水では東電も説明しているように，完全にブロックされた状況ではなく水が行き来しているというではないですか。

４７０億円の国費を使い凍土壁設置を計画しているようですが，まだそれが完成したわけでなく、それで成功するかはまだ 分かりません。

健康問題にしても，福島では甲状腺がんが子供達に増え続け，６月から更に６人も増え１８人、癌の疑いも含めるとなんと ４３人も病気になっているのです。こうして毎月甲状腺がんの子供が増えるのを，首相は何とも感ぜず放っておくのでしょう か？子供の健康と命を守る事の方がオリンピックよりも大事な事ではないのでしょうか？ちなみに東京でもオリンピック誘致 に危惧した市民グループが競技に使われる会場の線量計測をしましたが、やはり一部には「除染基準」としている毎時０.２３ マイクロシーベルトに近似した線量の地点もありました。ホットスポットが各所に散在しているのです。

韓国も,福島を含む東北関東計８県からの水産物を輸入する事を先日禁止しました。ここカリフォルニアを含めた ウエストコーストでは福島事故の及ぼす放射能の被害，影響を深刻に見つめ，調査してくれるよう、５人の議員に宛てた 嘆願書が今サインを集めています。ニューヨークタイムズも第一面を使い福島の現在の危機を報告しています。

首相はたくさんの約束をブエノスアイリスで致しましたが、今ある日本の原発の再稼動は絶対にしない，建設中の原発を 廃止する、原発輸出は絶対にしない事こそ約束してください。

世界が，安倍首相がどのように福島事故収束に立ち向かうか見ています。世界の各地から英知を集め，最善の対策を たててください。子供の命を守って下さい。集団疎開させて下さい。被害者への充分な損害賠償を実施して下さい。

オリンピックの歓喜の陰で，福島を忘れないで下さい。　今こそ，ひたむきに真剣にならなければ，全てが手遅れとなってしまいます。
