Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Graham Nash, Keb' Mo' and Ben Harper joined in this adaptation of the classic Buffalo Springfield song, "For What It's Worth," to help stop a $50 billion loan guarantee package for building new nuclear power plants that was slipped into the 2007 Energy Bill. The Fall 2007 campaign mounted by and allied environmental non-profit organizations gathered over 120,000 signatures, including those of the activists and artists listed on the scroll above. After a media conference and lobby day featuring Bonnie, Jackson, Graham and several environmental organizations along with public pressure on key Senators, Congress defeated the proposed loan guarantees, handing the safe energy movement a huge victory on the road to a green-powered Earth.

whats up: Horrific Wind Turbine Disaster Leaves Nobody Dead
So far no evacuation zone has been declared...

There are no threats to sea life, and the fallout from the disaster was not detectable thousands of miles away. Cleanup efforts are in progress, and will not include covering the area in a giant concrete dome. No workers have been asked to give their lives in order to save their countrymen from the menace of this fallen wind turbine.

Fukushima Daiichi Beatles by Ace Hoffman (aka Three Mile Island Beatles)

The author is a computer programmer, educational software developer, writer, videographer, animator, cancer survivor.... and sometimes... hopefully... a comedian. He was born in 1956, around the height of atmospheric bomb testing, which of course, everyone (except a few scientists who has studied the matter thoroughly) thought was "harmless" but we now know better. Those scientists were right!.

Chernobyl: A Million Casualties
EnviroVideo presents Enviro Close-UP with Karl Grossman

A million people have died so far as a result of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear plant accident, explains Janette Sherman, M.D., toxicologist and contributing editor of the book Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment. Published by the New York Academy of Sciences, the book, authored by Dr. Alexey Yablokov, Dr. Vassily Nesterenko and Dr. Alexey Nesterenko, examined medical records now available--which expose as a lie the claim of the International Atomic Energy Commission that perhaps 4,000 people may die as a result of Chernobyl. EnviroVideo presents Enviro Close-UP with Karl Grossman on
A EnviroVideo produces environmental and social justice programs for television - including interview and news shows, specials, and documentaries. The underlying premise of EnviroVideo is that there are critical environmental issues at hand that can best be communicated to large numbers of people through the media most favored for news and information - television and the Internet. And if there is broad public awareness, pressing environmental matters can be dealt with and action taken to truly resolve them.

The implication is that we will not be notified of any disaster unless that disaster is so overt, so undeniably VISIBLE that it cannot be denied...
