ReplyDeleteThe Japanese thought their REACTORS WERE 100% SAFE BEFORE 3/11 TOO!
The Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster in Fukushima which has set their economy back decades while also reducing the quality of life for everyone in Japan is something that America or any other Country cannot afford!
What part of the US can we afford to make a "N☢ GO" zone like Northern Japan is now, and what about all the folks living downwind, WHAT ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO DO?
With the cost of Solar (of all flavors) going down monthly and the cost of Nuclear going ever upward, the only reason that Nuclear is being PUSHED is because their lobbyists money, if it was not for that, the USA would be going GREEN and racing Germany toward a nuclear free future!

Yet another Nuclear "secret" that should not be secret because it deals with SAFETY!
Face it, safety is not as important as PROFITS, if it were SORE (San Onofre Reactor Emergency) would have never happened and SCE would have never tried to slip "souping up" the reactors by the NRC without seeking permission as required by LAW. Time is money and they want MONEY!
ReplyDeleteCalifornia is just LUCKY that we have not had a Fukushima here because Fukushima proved that Nature can destroy any land based nuclear reactor, any place anytime 24/7/365, yet our Leaders are not convinced, why, could it be MONEY?
Because of this, I coined the words Nuclear Denial* and Nuclear Payback**

Those that support nuclear power because nuclear power somehow supports them; no matter what the health implications or other “costs” are for others.
Lets review the basic FACTS, we now know:

2. Nature can destroy any land based nuclear reactor, anyplace anytime!
3. Solar (of all flavors) vs Nuclear Benefits:
✔ Less costly to build
✔ ZERO RISK OF A MELTDOWN
✔ No Trillion Dollar Eco-Disasters
✔ Faster to construct
✔ CLEAN from start to finish.
✔ No radiation worries or leaks
✔ No foreign dependency
✔ Prices are dropping yearly
✔ Creates large number of green jobs
✔ No nuclear cleanup expenses
4. Nuclear reactors leak radioactivity
5. Nuclear reactors are VERY expensive to de-commission
6. Nuclear Fallout can spread quickly and last "forever"
7. America cannot afford a Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster
8. Nuclear waste storage is an BIG Expensive problem
9. America has the land mass to go Solar (of all flavors)
